At the heart of the Equitrans flight service are our flying grooms, hailing from the UK and Europe, each has 15-plus years’ experience in equine flight operations.
Over the years, some of the biggest names in racing, polo, endurance and show jumping have trusted the Equitrans flying grooms to ensure their top-class horses travel in the upmost safety and comfort.
The work of a flying groom begins before the horses arrive ensuring the aircraft is fully prepared, plus various pre-flight operations. During flight, our grooms monitor and attend to each horse’s needs, this includes feeding, watering and, when required administering veterinary care.
On arrival, the flying grooms then ensure the horse is unloaded safely, the paperwork is completed and handover to the driver is finalised.
