This Year The Sky’s The Limit: 2018

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is an annual series of military performances by the British Armed Forces, various worldwide military bands, and other performance teams. Held at Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, the event has been running for over 70-years and regularly attracts television audiences of between 100 and 300 million.

The word ‘tattoo’ comes from the 17th century Dutch phrase doe den tap toe (“turn off the tap”) which was a military call for the tavern owners to turn of the taps and let the soldiers return to the barracks each night. The signal was adopted by the British military stationed there at the time, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo invites the finest military performers from around the globe to perform, and when this requires specialised animal transport, Equitrans is always on-hand to get them there!
