In just over a week’s time, the world’s best show jumpers will gather at the iconic Aachen Soers in Germany for the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026. Held just once every four years, the championships represent one of the highest honours in the sport and the first opportunity for nations to secure qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The UAE will be represented by five exceptional horse-and-rider combinations: Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi with Enjoy de la Mure, Sheikha Latifah bint Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum with Cornet XL, Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi with Hudson de Vains, Humaid Abdulla Khalifa Al Muhairi with Foncetti vd Heffinck, and Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi with Flonflon. Led by Chef d’Équipe William Funnell, the team heads to Aachen following another impressive European campaign and with Olympic qualification firmly in their sights.
A Championship Like No Other
The FEI World Championships is one of the sport’s most prestigious competitions, bringing together the world’s leading horse-and-rider combinations to contest both the team and individual world titles. This year’s championship takes place from 19-23 August, with the team medals decided on Friday 21 August before the individual final on Sunday 23 August.
For riders, owners, grooms and support teams, simply qualifying for Aachen is a remarkable achievement. Behind every championship appearance are years of planning, training and dedication, both in and out of the saddle.
